At Set That, we are totally committed to respecting your personal information and this Privacy Policy governs our collection, use and disclosure of that information when you visit our website at www.setthat.com (Website).

 

We want to explain clearly what information we collect, how it is held securely and how the data may be used so that you can feel confident that your privacy is important to us.  We provide settings that allow you to control how certain information is used on our Website.

 

It applies only to the information collected and stored by us.  By accessing the Website directly or through another website, you accept the terms contained in this Privacy Policy. 

 

What information we collect and how we collect it

 

  1. Personal information

 

To fully utilise our Website, you will need to register a member account with us via our online registration form.  You can use the site without registering however you will not be able to take advantage of many features of the site such as creating a user profile of your preferences, sharing things with others, finding friends and following set creators, or saving things for later reference. 

 

The registration process requires you to provide details such as:

 

  • first and last name
  • email address
  • login password
  • gender
  • date of birth
  • country
  • mobile number
  • category preferences (for example fashion, sport, home and outdoors) and
  • store preferences

 

2. Social media

 

You may also choose to “link” your social media profile to your account to make your registration very simple.

If you choose to link your Facebook or Twitter account to our Website, , the data we receive is that which is in your public profile, your friends list and your email address or Twitter ID.  The types of information we can obtain or that you wish to share back on those sites generally depends on your social media account settings or the privacy policies of Facebook and Twitter so you may wish to check them first if you have any concerns.

 

3. Technical information

 

When using websites, mobile applications, Internet services and the like, the software automatically creates and records some information. Our Website is no exception and some of the types of information we may record are:

If given access to this data, our participating retailers may be encouraged to source the products that are most appealing to the different demographic groups in our audience so that they maximise the benefit of being part of our Set That community.

 

Third Party Websites

 

We provide links to third party websites such as websites of our participating retailers and various social media network sites which may have different privacy practices than us.  We do not exercise control over these third party websites and they may place their own cookies and other files on your computer, and ask you for additional information.  We are not responsible for the privacy policies of these third party websites and encourage you to read the privacy policies of those websites.

 

Updating your personal information

 

You can easily change the information we store about you in the user settings area.

 

Security of your personal information

 

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your data including encrypting the database in which your personal information is stored to safeguard the confidentiality of the personal information that we hold about you from misuse and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.  However, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of the information that you provide to us or guarantee that the information  may not be accessed, altered, disclosed or destroyed by unauthorised people.

 

We do not request any credit card details for payment of products. Payments for all products are made directly to the Retailer on their own Store website.  Our website does not have a shopping cart and does not request any payments from any user. 

 

Payments to set creators are made through Paypal with additional security protocols in place for amendments to that data.  We do not request any changes to be made to your data via unsolicited or non-secure emails or over the telephone.

 

We will make known any breaches to the security of stored personal data as required by law advising you of any measures you need to take to restore the data to its rightful state.

 

Opt-In or Opt-Out Provision

 

When you register an account on our Website, you will be given the option to opt-out of subscribing to our regular email update service which may include alerts for new products, features, enhancements, special offers, upgrade opportunities, contests, events of interest and one-off marketing promotions including marketing information about us, our subsidiaries or selected business partners.  There are some emails that you cannot opt out of receiving as these are ones associated with changes to this policy or our terms and conditions.

 

We will not sell or otherwise pass your identifying details to third parties for marketing purposes unless we have your express permission to do so.  However, we may share non-identifying information as described in the sections above to our participating retailers in an effort to provide a better service to you in terms of the content we can then offer and the suggestions we can make for you.

 

You can unsubscribe to any service you have subscribed to through the automated unsubscribe link. Simply follow the instructions in the email sent to you. Alternatively, you can change your email preferences by logging into the user settings area.

 

Children’s information

 

Our Website is not directed to children under 13.  If a parent or guardian finds out that his or her child has provided us with their personal information without their consent, he or she should contact us.  We will delete the information from our files if you ask us to.

 

Deactivation and suspension of your account

 

If we suspend or if you deactivate your account, we will retain the information you have provided to us so that your account can be reactivated in the future.  If your account is not reactivated within three years (either by you or by us), we will archive the information you have provided to us and retain the information in the archives.

 

If you would like your information to be deleted, you should contact us and we will delete all your identifying information from our records.

 

Update to this policy

 

We may update this Privacy Policy from time-to-time based on your feedback and the need to accurately reflect our data collection and disclosure practices. If we make any changes, we will post changes and updates on our Website so that you know how we collect, use and disclose your personal information and you will be notified via email. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy from time to time so you will know if it has been changed or updated. All changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective after we provide at least seven (7) days’ notice of the changes by posting the details on our Website and via email.
